| Two-piece evening dress of net and striped metallic fabric over silk, embroidered with narrow braid, the bodice trimmed with beaded metallic lace. Designed by John Bright and Jenny Beavan.
This dress was worn in a short scene in the garden the night before the wedding of Margaret's stepdaughter. It was seen only briefly, in the dusk, mainly at a distance and from the back, thereby hiding from view much of its fine decoration down the front. This is often the love of the costume designer and makerto see the fruit of days of labor [text unreadable] go on screen in just a fleeting glance.
